Cheetah Love

Hello all,
I hope you are having a fabulous thanksgiving weekend. This weekend was everything I’d hoped it would be. In my last blog post, I forgot to mention something else I was thankful for, YOU,  My faithful readers. I can never thank you enough for your support; it means the world to me!
I bought this jacket since this summer and I thought it would be a great fall piece because it is so warm and cozy. I waited to find a great skirt to wear with it. I found this great orange, thick and equally cozy skirt over at Ann Taylor and I thought it was the perfect match for my blazer. I love the color!! The sales woman told me it was a tomato orange? not sure about that color, all I know is I was in love with it. I’ve had the booties for awhile and they were the perfect understated shoes for the outfit. I’ll let the jacket take center stage. Thanks for visiting. Until next time.

Reptilian Stripes

 Hello Loves!!
First I want to apologize for the week long hiatus. I had taken pictures to post, but unfortunately they got deleted accidentally. Anyway, I am back!! so this week was quite interesting. I went to this Roots For Development fashion event in honor of my home country of Haiti. I met other Haitian bloggers like myself. I took my camera to the event, only to forget my memory card. WHOMP! I ended up taking some very blurry, non-blogpost worthy pics :(. However, I still had a wonderful time. I am always up for helping out a good cause, especially when it concerns my country.
On to the post! So I am still fighting the urge to wear boots and dark colors and the weather is not helping my case either. It is such a beautiful day today. A whopping 55 degrees!! I am trying to savor every bit of fall before it snows and turns dark & ugly. I am in love with this skirt and I thought I would dress it up  real funky. I wanted to wear another pattern with it and just thought I throw in my faithful striped cami. I love the outcome and so did the hubby. What are some pieces in your closet that instantly make an outfit funky? Until Next time.

Striping Colors

Hello Loves,
I hope you are keeping especially warm this weekend. Is it me or does it feel like it went from summer to winter overnight. Did I miss Fall? It is freezing here in Maryland and I am not (as you can see) trying to let go of summer. This jacket is the epitome of comfort. The polyester fabric is thick & comfy, hence the reason I can wear it without a coat, even if it’s only for 2 minutes lol.  The jacket adds so much excitement and texture to the colors of the skirt and cami. I wanted to go for a more sophisticated and toned down look, so I added the black pumps. What pieces do you think help make an outfit more sophisticated? Until next time!
