Happy New Year! Long time no talk or see. First, I would like to apologize for my “absence” but I can assure you the break was much needed. Sometimes you have to step away from something in order to understand whether or not your heart is still in it. Now I am back with a lot of exciting things in store and sporting a new look! Thank you for sticking by me and encouraging me through it all.
If you follow me on instagram you know that I let my natural hair out on New Years Eve, which marked my 6 months “nappyversary.” I am thoroughly enjoying this natural process and my hair has grown very much. If there is one thing I am not too thrilled about in returning natural, it’s this shrinkage business. It truly is the worst but I am learning to embrace my hair in all of it’s growing phases. As you can imagine, my closet has had a slight update during ‘the break’ but I will try to update you all as much as possible. I am starting with this dress, this dress is the the epitome of class and this emerald color just screams life. The cut of the dress is very simple, but it’s the way I’d like all of my dresses to fit. It’s not fitted to the point of suffocation but it sits very well on me. It hits right below the knee and has pocket, you know I love some pockets. I must warn you, it is cut very small, so if you’re buying it go up a size. Since this dress is very simple, I decided to pair it with my embellished statement belt, yes, I just made that up. Since I do not wear jewelry, I find creative ways to accessorize. Shoes, belts, handbags and now hair accessories must “pop” and be extremely chic. As always, I’d love to know your thoughts on this outfit and thank you for taking the time to read the blog.
