It’s been such a hectic workweek, I am more than ready for the weekend. With everything going on in the world, I’ll taking the opportunity this weekend to indulge in some self care and I hope you do the same. In the process, hold your loved ones a little closer.

If you’ve been following the blog for a while, then you know I love ankara, also known as African fabric. I love them as head wraps, dresses, tops, skirts and anything I can turn them into. It doesn’t help that my friends from all over the African continent keep feeding my slight addiction to ankara with every trip they take. The only requirement for my ankara is brightness, I love colors, shapes and prints, so the more it has, the merrier. I love the sturdy fabric and how it glistens in the sun. I love its uniqueness, so much so that the probability of you wearing the same thing as someone else is almost zero to never. This particular fabric is from the Congo. The moment I saw it I knew it would become a peplum top because it possesses all of the ankara characteristic I described above. For such a bright top, I had to balance it out with a pretty neutral colored skirt and shoes and just like that my outfit for church was complete. I’d love to know your thoughts on the outfits and the changes you’d make to make it fit your personal style. I want to take this time to thank you for visiting the site. Until next time.

Stay Fashionomically Chic & Fab.-JMP
